A lot of local anglers swear by it for catching almost record sizes of the invasive Snakeheads throughout South Florida.

Whether your fishing for bass or Snakeheads, you pretty much fish the Okeechobee Toad the same for both species. Set it up with a 6/0 or 7/0 screw loc or offset shank hook. Most people fish the Okeechobee Toad weightless but some people have had good results fishing them weighted. You just cast it out and drag it in. Running it along the surface creating all kinds of commotion that drive fish crazy. There’s nothing like the heart-stopping action of a monster bass or snakehead smashing the Okeechobee Toad as you drag it across the surface.
